Jon is a former Premiership (Wimbledon FC) and International (Republic of Ireland) professional footballer who was forced to retire through injury at the young age of 28. During his injury rehabilitation, Jon studied a sports science degree through a PFA run program at the Roehampton Institute, graduating with a 1st class honours degree.
Since then Jon has worked with numerous professional clubs including Wimbledon FC, Crystal Palace FC, Watford FC, Reading FC and also internationally with Northern Ireland.
Recognising a need for specialist coaches throughout professional and grassroots football, Jon set up Think Fitness in 2005 with the aim of supporting both players and clubs in key performance areas such as mental toughness, injury prevention, football athleticism, performance nutrtion and performance analysis.
Jon has presented and hosted several conferences such as Science and Soccer 2008, Grassroots LIVE 2009 as well as a consultant to Red Bull, Nike and Premier Skills. He also sits on the specialist panel for the Professional Football Coaches Association.
