Practically Orientated In-Service Training
Think Fitness recently provided some in-service training for the Coaches Association at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground.
The event was practically orientated with other presenters including Nathan Gardener from Tottenham Hotspur.
Think Fitness presented on how to develop speed in footballers. Rather than simply throwing down a speed ladder and encouraging footballer’s to stutter through it, Think Fitness evaluated the mechanics of sprinting and the difference between athletic speed and football specific speed.
The practical sessions incorporated the components of speed that are relevant to professional football including anticipation, reaction speed, timing, acceleration and movement efficiency.
The feedback from the day was excellent and further details can be obtained from The Coaches Association
